A MAN mauled by a great white shark while another body is missing after a horror attack off the South African coast.
A swimmer’s wounded body was found by a walker on La Lucia beach in Durban.
According to medics, part of his upper right arm and chest was missing, and multiple shark bites were found on his body.
The body of another swimmer was also reportedly seen, but was swept away by the strong current before rescuers arrived
Netcare 911 spokesman Shawn Herbst said the alarm went off around 4:30 p.m. Friday.
“Although authorities will determine the exact cause of death, it is believed the deceased was dated before drowning,” he said.

“A man walking on the beach reportedly came across the decomposing body of an adult man face down among washed-up flotsam.
“A second body was also found in the shore break, but was washed back out to sea by the strong surf before lifeguards arrived on site.
“When paramedics turned the body over for examination, it was found that part of the right upper arm and chest area was missing, with multiple shark bite marks clearly visible.”
Herbst confirmed the body had been turned over to Durban Police for further examination.
It comes after a Bodybuilder killed by a great white shark was bitten so hard by his 16-inch jaw that it crushed his skull, leaving a tooth behind.

Tomas Butterfield, 42, was bitten in the head, chest and shoulder when he died on Christmas Eve.
