Man in his 90s died after being cut down by a car outside a busy retail center

A man in his 90s has died after being cut down by a car outside a busy retail mall.

The horrific crash happened on Sunday when the man was hit by a vehicle near the Pets At Home store in Pitsea, Essex.

Essex Police said officers were called to the scene, off High Road, shortly after 1:45pm.

The force said the pensioner died at the scene and his relatives have been notified.

The officers wanted to speak to witnesses and to anyone with camera footage.
