Man, 28, charged with four counts of murder after woman, 27, was stabbed to death along with three family members

A FRIEND who met his partner’s family just before they were found stabbed has been charged with four counts of murder today.

Joshua Jerome Derriviere Jacques, 28, is charged with murdering a family of three and a grandfather after Monday’s bloody attack.

Officers reportedly Tasered him after finding him locked in the terraced property in Bermondsey, south London, where armed police were forcing entry.

His girlfriend Samantha Drummonds, 27, her mother Tanysha Ofori-Akuffo, 45, her grandma Dolet Hill, 64, and Dolet’s partner Denton Burke, 58, were all found stabbed to death.

Police have now charged him with four counts of murder and he will appear before Westminster Magistrates’ Court today.

Jacques was taken to the hospital and treated for his injuries before being charged.

Friends and relatives laid flowers and paid tribute to family at the scene after terrified neighbors reported hearing screams.

Samantha had moved back into her family’s home just a few weeks ago when her Forest Hill condo was being renovated.

Tanysha’s grieving husband, who lost his wife, stepdaughter and mother-in-law, told The Sun: “I don’t know how to live without her.”

Tesco worker Danny Ofori-Akuffo, 62, added: “We don’t know what happened or why the stabbings took place.

“All I know is that I have a perfect wife, a loving mother-in-law, father-in-law and stepdaughter. We are all family.

“My reaction at the police station was calm because I didn’t think it was real. But since then I haven’t slept.

“I’m going crazy in the head.

“I’ve never experienced anything like this in my life and I don’t know where to start.

“It was a huge blow and there is a deep hole in my heart that nothing can fill until I see my wife, mother-in-law, father-in-law and stepdaughter alive again.”

The Met Police said this morning: “Jacques was charged on Thursday, April 28, following an investigation by homicide detectives with the Met’s Specialist Crime Command.”
