One of the faces of YouTube streaming, Ludwig, has weighed in on the world-seizing defamation trial between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard, calling the trial “the juiciest trial” he’s seen.
The public-facing defamation case between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard has swept the internet, including Ludwig.
In fact, the YouTube star was so captivated that he “woke up at 7am … with a racing heart” for the procedure.
“I was like, ‘Dude, I really want to see the trial of Johnny Depp and Amber Heard,'” he said in an April 26 broadcast.
However, he couldn’t help but compare some of the drama in the courtroom to instances of streaming controversies in recent years.
Right off the bat, Ludwig compared the heightened drama between Depp and Heard to Mizkif’s game show Schooled: “I think it’s a Mizkif video because she cheated.”
He was also dismayed by allegations about Heard’s behavior during the relationship that became widely publicized.
“I have to respect Amber Heard for one thing, and one thing only: having the balls to shit on a pillow. Not shitting in a toilet really is that hard.
“You know how many times I’ve walked past Slime’s pillow and thought about shitting on it?”
However, Ludwig defended himself against some critics who said he was making fun of the allegations too much. “We can say funny [things] Because this is not an abuse case, it’s a defamation case,” he said.
Some have dubbed the case the “trial of the century.” For now, Ahgren has spoken out against the title’s validity: “How are they going to call it trial of the century when there are 80 years left?”
However, he admitted the process gripped him like no other.
“This is the juiciest exam I’ve seen since my frontal cortex developed and I’ve been able to understand people. I was alive when OJ Simpson happened, but I don’t remember it.”
Who thinks Ludwig wins in the court of public opinion? For the time being, the streamer is firmly in the Depp camp.
“Right now, Johnny seems to be on his feet, but Amber’s team is certainly scaling, so they’re looking to wrap this up sooner rather than later,” throws in a bit of gaming terminology to sum it up.
