The Best Indie Award-nominated RPG is now on Switch!
If you’ve been paying attention to the news regarding the Game Awards that’s happening today, this may not be the first time you’ve heard of the newest indie RPG Four Quarters. Loop Hero received a nomination for Best Indie Game. Since its launch for PC, the single-player video game has enjoyed incredible success – with more than 500,000 copies have been sold in the first week.
To celebrate the game’s launch, an animated trailer for Loop Hero was shared today by both publishers Devolver Digital on Twitter and by Nintendo on its official YouTube channel, and it definitely has an epic 90s fantasy RPG feel.
The story of this game revolves around a brave unknown hero seeking to return their world to normal after it was thrown into chaos by a Lich. As the name suggests, the game consists of endless loops. You, the player, send your hero on expeditions to fend off enemy monsters and bring back the resources to upgrade your garrison and obtain the necessary reinforcements.
There is no expedition like the other. Before you set out each time, you must choose from unlockable classes and the 13 decks you own – which you can change before each expedition. Your goal is to defeat the evil guardian bosses and end the Lich time loop.
Loop Hero arrived on PC on March 4th of this year, and in the meantime, it has received extremely positive reviews on Steam. If you want to get the Loop Hero for PC via Steam, has a special 40% off sale that ends on December 13. However, if you’ve been waiting to get the game on your Nintendo Switch, you can finally do so today. Loop Hero Available for purchase on Nintendo’s official website for $14.99. Even spin-offs can make for those first trailers you’ll never forget.
