Lizzo says she texted BTS star J-Hope: ‘He won’t let you read’


Lizzo has said BTS star J-Hope is a “great lyricist” who “won’t let you read.”

The ‘Good As Hell’ singer opened up about her recent friendship with the South Korean musician in the latest episode of audacity ‘s podcast series on Thursday (April 28).

“I’ve got J-Hope’s number, so let’s text,” Lizzo said, adding, “He’s a great lyricist, punchy.

“He won’t let you read. If it’s been a while since he’s texted, he’ll say ‘I’m so sorry’ and apologize for how long it took.”

Lizzo – real name Melissa Jefferson – also revealed that she has always been “attracted” to BTS and would one day “absolutely love” working with the Grammy winners.

“Good people like really good energy,” she said of the band.

“I think that’s why I’ve always been drawn to BTS because they remind me of myself for what it’s like, self love and that positive energy and the way they love their fans.”

Lizzo ended the interview by declaring, “Love you ARMY,” referring to the nickname used for the band’s fans.

Earlier this month, the 34-year-old confirmed reports that she was in a relationship.

During an appearance on SiriusXM Andy Cohen is aliveLizzo said she is still dating the mystery man she was photographed with on Valentine’s Day earlier this year.

When Cohen suggested that dating as a superstar singer might be difficult for her, Lizzo responded that being with the right person is “not even a factor” in a relationship.

Lizzo, who recently announced tour dates for a 20-stop North American tour alongside 23-year-old rapper Latto, also launched her own line of shapewear, Yitty, earlier this year.

She also appeared alongside Harry Styles during the singer’s headlining set at Coachella.
