Lisa Kudrow is excited for a sequel to Romy and Michele.

Get out your fur trims and lamé mini skirts because “Romy and Michele’s” high school might have a reunion in the works.

During Tuesday’s red carpet premiere of Better Nate Than Ever in Hollywood, star Lisa Kudrow paused to reminisce with ET correspondent Matt Cohen about “Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion”.

“Tell Disney you want a sequel!” Kudrow told Cohen, who urged the 58-year-old actress about the opportunity to revisit the iconic characters. “Robin Schiff will find out. She has ideas that are brewing.”

The film inspired a 2005 TV prequel, Romy and Michele: In the Beginning for ABC Family, starring Katherine Heigl and Alexandra Breckenridge. But Kudrow may have his sights set on a sequel for himself and co-star Mira Sorvino, 54.

“Yes I would. I think it would be really fun.” “Friends” actress said Cohen. “And then a little bit like, ‘How are you our age?'”

The duo were spotted together last month as they presented the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series – dressed in bright pink and blue suits in a tribute to the ’90s cult classic.

And there’s never been a better time to do it, at a time when it’s expected of women “receive [their] Fuck your ass and work” and look fierce at the same time. Besties Romy and Michele were the epitome of self-made women who didn’t settle down to open their own clothing line and boutique in Los Angeles in the late 1990s.

Kudrow’s comments coincide with the 1997 film’s 25th anniversary next month. The original, produced by Schiff, follows as the best friends from LA return to their high school in Tuscon, Arizona for their senior year’s 10-year reunion. Also starring are Janeane Garofalo, Alan Cumming, Elaine Hendrix and Camryn Manheim.

In her current role on Disney+, she plays Aunt Heidi, a former Broadway actress who helps her teenage nephew Nate follow in her dramatic footsteps.
