TRIPOLI (Reuters) – Libya’s Global Air has scheduled a flight from Tripoli to Benghazi for Tuesday afternoon, signaling the resumption of domestic air services after the country’s political crisis closed airspace for more than two weeks.
The United Nations had called for the reopening of Libyan skies in line with a 2020 ceasefire between the main warring factions to allow unimpeded travel within the country.
