League of Legends ‘Spinoff Hextech Mayhem’ Added to Netflix Games

Netflix has announced that it will be available worldwide on its Games service platform. Hextech Mayhem is a rhythm platformer and spin-off of League of Legends. The game’s plot is connected to the Zaun and Piltover regions in the League of Legends universe. Users can play Hextech Mayhem on Android and iOS devices for free with a Netflix subscription.

The game is developed and published by Riot Games, a player- and developer-focused publisher that offers smaller games focused on the League of Legends universe. Hextech Mayhem was originally released on November 16, 2021, and is available on Nintendo Switch, PC via Steam, GOG, Epic Games, PlayStation 4, Playstation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.

The characters of Hextech Mayhem

Hextech Mayhem has two prominent League of Legends champions – Ziggs and Heimerdinger. While escaping his mundane life in Piltover and waving goodbye to his life as the inventor’s assistant, he relentlessly pursued “answer the most impenetrable questions of the universe.

Hextech Mayhem, a rhythm platformer, allows players to transform into Ziggs, the expert Hexplosives, a bomb-and-explosion-loving yordle. As Ziggs runs through the streets of Piltover in each level of the game, the player must make him dodge the obstacles in his path and help him escape the Piltover Man led by Heimerdinger. Ziggs’ movements in the game synchronize with the music score of the level.

Just like any other rhythm-based game, the core gameplay is based on running and hitting the right beat at the right time to overcome obstacles. Ziggs can perform moves like bomb jumps and attacks that help him avoid obstacles and disarm enemies.

It’s not surprising that Riot decided to partner with Netflix to offer Hextech Mayhem to players.
