Lea Michele’s ‘Funny Girl’ sells for $2,500 after Beanie Feldstein’s exit

Lea Michele is a popular girl.
The ‘Glee’ grad, 35, is set to take on the role of Fanny Brice in the Broadway revival of ‘Funny Girl’ after original star Beanie Feldstein left.
Michele will star in the stage production starting September 6th and tickets for her show have already skyrocketed.
Seats for the musical at the August Wilson Theater in New York City range from $570 to $2,500, according to ticketing company SeatGeek.
These prices also don’t include the hefty $500 service fee.
Feldstein, 29, announced she would be leaving the play earlier than expected on July 31 — rather than her original September 25 exit.
Sources told Page Six on July 11 that she was “basically fired” before completing the project. Her understudy Julie Benko will be performing until Michele begins her run later this fall.
Stubs for July and August are $69, weekday shows are only $49.

“A dream come true is an understatement. I am so incredibly honored to be part of this amazing cast and production and to return to the stage and play Fanny Brice on Broadway. See you September 6th,” Michele wrote in a statement on her Instagram earlier this week.
The American Crime Story: Impeachment star revealed her reasons for leaving Funny Girl in a candid post Sunday.
“Playing Fanny Brice on Broadway has been a lifelong dream of mine and to do so for the past few months has been a great pleasure and a true honor,” Feldstein wrote.

She continued, “When the production decided to take the show in a different direction, I made the extremely difficult decision to step down sooner than expected.”
“I will never forget this experience and I want to say a heartfelt thank you to each and every person who came to the August Wilson for the love and support you have shown me and our amazing cast and crew,” Booksmart said. -Actress went further.
Feldstein then gushed about her experience with the musical, noting, “The people with whom I have had the great pleasure of bringing Funny Girl to life on and off stage every night are all remarkably talented and extraordinary people, and I hope They will continue to come to you at Henry Street after my departure on July 31.”
