Latto gives young mother in Christmas event for women and babies – Billboard

Latto is spreading holiday cheer for mothers in need.
Last Friday, in partnership with her nonprofit Win Some Give Some and the Rainbow House of Georgia, Billboards chart-topper hosted her first Lotto 4 The Ladies & Babies Christmas party. The charity event took place at the Virginia Gray Burton Recreation Center in Riverdale, Ga.
In celebration – which benefits teenagers, young mothers and their children – families are given meals, Black Santa merchandise, toys, Visa gift cards, socks filled, free skate tickets to their local rink, and many other goodies.
The 23-year-old rising star was emotional as she returned the favor in Georgia, where she grew up.
Ohio-born Latto first rose to fame as the first winner of Jermaine Dupri’s Rap game in 2016. “It was immediate growth,” she previously said Billboards. “Social media, shows, opportunities, partnerships, everything is on the roof.”
She made her Billboard Hot 100 debut in 2019 with “Bitch From Da Souf” and was named Billboard’S September 2020 Chartbreaker.
More on her position in the industry, Latto said at the time, “If you listen to my music, that’s all I stand for – women being free about their sexuality and changing roles. industry’s gender roles and society’s gender roles and just be as confident as you can be with yourself, your sex. Be the biggest boss, be independent and prove everyone wrong. People want women. We have to be so submissive when we have our own voices, and we can do everything these guys can do.”
