Lachancey Williams, 40, death at the latest

A person of interest has been named in the death of Lachancey Williams after workers found a body in a tool box in Polk County, Georgia.
The news comes as authorities announced that Eric K. Hooper has been charged with murder in connection with the case.
Hooper, 28, was extradited to Alabama from Polk County. He has a $1.5 million bond.
Police are still looking for another person interested in the case as they continue their investigation.
Officials are looking for Nick Silvers, 38, of Alabama, according to Cherokee County, Alabama Sheriff Jeff Shaver.
Because the victim is from Georgia and both Hooper and Silvers are registered residents of Alabama, police are continuing to investigate the connection between the two states.
However, Polk County Jail records obtained by 11Alive indicate that Hooper had a residence in Cedartown, where Williams resided.
In March, Public Works Department workers discovered a toolbox on the job in Cedartown.
According to Polk County Police Chief Kenny Dodd, the crews opened the toolbox to find a body.
An obituary for Williams states that he has been a freelance painter for years.
“He never held anything back, but would give you the shirt off his back,” he said obituary reads.
Williams was an Alabama football fan who also enjoyed fishing.
He leaves behind five children, four siblings and a handful of nieces, nephews and cousins.
The Cherokee County, Alabama Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating Silvers.
Anyone with information is urged to call the Bureau’s Chief Investigator at 256-927-3365 or 256-557-5466
