Klay Thompson returns to Warriors vs. Mavericks

SAN FRANCISCO – Klay Thompson is available and will start Tuesday night with the Dallas Mavericks, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr said hours before tipoff.
Thompson missed Sunday’s game against the Utah Jazz because of knee pain and didn’t attend practice Monday.
Since returning from ACL and Achilles injuries that cost him nearly two-and-a-half seasons, Thompson has been limited to playing anywhere between 18-24 minutes a game.

In six games of the season, the 32-year-old Thompson is averaging 14.7 points per game while shooting at a career-low (37.2) and three points. (30,2).
The Warriors are currently second in the Western Conference with a 33-13 record. The team currently holds the league’s best home record with a score of 21-4.
Kerr said coach Rick Celebrini recommended Thompson miss Sunday’s game after he felt a “refinement” in the knee he repaired in 2019. Kerr said the decision made sense. “cautious” rather than “anxious” and lists Thompson as “everyday”. ”
