Also, Kevin Kreider, who introduced viewers to his rich friend group, shares his sobriety journey. He acknowledged that some people don’t like to talk about it, but pointed out that he sees it as “freedom.”
The model repeated a phrase he’d heard soberly: “You’re only as sick as your illness,” adding that he believes it’s “more liberating” to be open about it. Kevin admitted he’d previously hidden it too, but wants to open up about it to “destigmatize” sobriety and mental health.

During Season 2, the model opened up about starting his journey to sobriety at the age of 30. In his confessional, Kevin stated that he disliked relying on alcohol to shape his personality and he disliked the person he became while under the influence.
So he decided to get sober, enrolled in a 12-step program, and met regularly with a sobriety coach. The reality star opened up about Kim Lee’s love interest and she responded with support.
Throughout the season, he attempted to develop a relationship with Kim, which was threatened when Kane revealed Kevin’s past connection to her. Believing that she couldn’t trust him, the DJ had Kevin take a lie detector test, which he passed.
However, one of the questions she answered was that she didn’t want to be in a relationship with him, which seemingly ended their romance. Kane, telling Kim about his past connection, angered him as he felt it had nothing to do with his feelings for her, and the two had a brief argument before seemingly reconnecting.
