Kevin Garnett slams Lakers coaching roster: ‘Are you serious?’

Kevin Garnett has reviewed the list of coaching finalists for the Los Angeles Lakers and isn’t impressed.
The Lakers have reportedly narrowed their coaching searches to Bucks assistant Darvin Ham, Warriors assistant and former Nets head coach Kenny Atkinson, and former Trail Blazers head coach Terry Stotts.
On his Instagram story, Garnett wrote, “Man are the Lakers serious? They are not seriously trying to improve the situation with this list of coaches.
The NBA Hall of Famer continued to comment on the list of candidates who could potentially replace Frank Vogel, who was fired.
“FOH [get the f–k out of here],” he added. “You’re serious? No, you’re not serious! You’re serious.”
There are also rumors in NBA circles that Doc Rivers, who won an NBA championship with Garnett on the team in 2008, is a shadow contender, although the 76ers are keeping Rivers after the team collapsed in the playoffs.
Veteran NBA reporter Marc Stein wrote in his substack Monday that the Lakers have not “given up” hope that they could put Rivers in a deal with the Sixers.

Perhaps that would be a job that would meet Garnett’s clearly high standards.
