Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce are ending a 10-year feud with Ray Allen

The long-standing beef was crushed.
Ray Allen was by his side when Kevin Garnett retired his jersey from the Celtics on Sunday.
“It’s good to see Ray Allen here. Real st,” Garnett said. “Nice to see you here, baby.”
There has been animosity between the two for years, dating back to when Allen left the Celtics to join forces with LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh and the Miami Heat in 2012.
During Sunday’s celebrations, Allen rose from his seat and hugged Garnett on the ground at TD Garden. Paul Piece also jumped in for a hug, and the crowd erupted in thunderous applause.
All meanwhile said former Celtic Brian Scalabrine on Sunday “there was never beef”.

“When I left I was so excited about the journey I was on, but I’ve always loved these guys,” Allen said. “And what’s on my mind isn’t just 2008, it’s just this whole mission. 2009 and 2010. We played some great games in this building. We had a great time on the planes. Life was great for those five years. That’s what I’ve focused on, the last 10 years has been all we’ve done together – that’s the most important thing for me.”
Allen can tell there was no beef, but that doesn’t seem entirely true.
For example, when Allen was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2018, he was said Rachel Nichols that Garnett, Pierce, or Rajon Rondo had called to congratulate him.

“What I’ve learned, Rachel, is that you only have moments,” Allen said at the time. “I have no ill will towards anyone. Everyone – good and bad – has brought me to this moment. So I’m thinking about the things that I’ve learned, the worst times that I’ve been through the most, that have allowed me to get back up and say, ‘Let me get better.'”
Even just last month, Garnett seemed to snub Allen at the NBA All-Star Game ceremony for the 75 Greatest Players of All Time.
Irrespective of this, it is now necessary to let the past rest.
