Keanu Reeves’ CinemaCon performance during John Wick presentation wows fans: “You’re the man!”

Keanu Reeves’ performance at CinemaCon left Thursday (April 28) convention-goers in high spirits.

The actor showed up during the Lionsgate presentation John Wick: Chapter 4.

Lionsgate chairman Joe Drake opened the presentation by citing stuntman director Chad Stahelski’s “vision” and Reeves’ “unique screen presence” as reasons why the franchise became a “cultural phenomenon”.

“We bet Chad’s vision coupled with Keanu’s unique screen presence would rewrite the action genre. And that bet paid off for everyone,” Drake said per meeting.

Drake then brought out Stahelski and Reeves, as attendees reportedly greeted the actor with loud cheers and chants of “You’re the man!”

The film’s first full-length trailer premiered exclusively at the event, held annually at the Caesar Palace Colosseum Theater in Las Vegas.

In the high-octane, neon-soaked fourth film, Reeves’ killer will return once more to rain down violence and vengeance on his enemies.

In addition to Reeves, the cast of the fourth John Wick film includes Lance Reddick, Rina Sawayama, Donnie Yen, Shamier Anderson, Bill Skarsgård, Hiroyuki Sanada, Scott Adkins and Clancy Brown. Ian McShane will return as Winston, the manager of the Continental Hotel.

However, Halle Berry will not reprise her role as Sofia, who first appeared in Chapter 3.

The third edition of the film, John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum – which was released in 2019 – grossed US$327.3 million (£261.2 million) at the global box office, more than doubling box office earnings John Wick: Chapter 2 in 2017.

Stahelski’s fourth John Wick film is slated to hit theaters on May 23, 2023.
