Since the BTS singer tested positive for the coronavirus (COVID-19) after arriving in Las Vegas, it was unclear if Jungkook would be able to attend the awards ceremony. On April 2nd, Big Hit Music released a new Weverse announcement to let fans know that Jungkook has recovered from the coronavirus and has been cleared to attend Grammy Awards 2022.
BTS’ Jungkook has recovered from the coronavirus
On April 2nd, Big Hit Music released a new announcement on Weverse. The Weverse announcement let ARMY know that Jungkook had “fully recovered” after originally testing positive for the coronavirus.
The beginning of the Weverse announcement read:
“We would like to inform you that BTS member Jung Kook has fully recovered from COVID-19 and completed his quarantine on Saturday, April 2nd (PT).
Jung Kook has been in self-quarantine and self-treatment since last Sunday, March 27 (PT). As of today, Jung Kook can resume his daily activities in accordance with the guidelines of the health authorities in the United States. He had a slight sore throat during the quarantine but has recovered from that.”

Jungkook will be able to attend the 2022 Grammy Awards
Jungkook originally tested positive for the coronavirus after arriving in Las Vegas for the upcoming Grammy Awards. The BTS singer traveled ahead of his other bandmates on a separate flight.
The 2022 Grammy Awards are scheduled to take place on April 3. With Jungkook testing positive for the coronavirus so close to the event, it was uncertain if he would be able to attend and perform with BTS.
In the Weverse announcement, Big Hit Music confirmed Jungkook will be attending the 2022 Grammy Awards.
“After completing the quarantine, Jung Kook took a rapid antigen test in the United States to be included in the Grammy Awards schedule. The result was negative and the award organizer approved his participation in the Grammy Awards,” wrote Big Hit Music.

BTS will perform at the 2022 Grammy Awards
The 2022 Grammy Awards will be presented at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. BTS are nominated at the awards ceremony Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for her song “Butter”.
Alongside the nomination, BTS’ Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V and Jungkook will perform at the 2022 Grammy Awards.
The Recording Academy announced BTS in the first round of cast members, making the band’s performance highly anticipated. Now that all seven members of BTS can attend the Grammy Awards, the septet’s performance is sure to be one of the biggest of the night.
