Julianne Hough talks about combining dance and movie magic in Step into…the Movies with Derek & Julianne Hough on ABC

“This was something that my brother and I conceived over the years,” Hough said.

“Step Into…The Movies” features the siblings known for their award-winning choreography and dances that recreate the most iconic cinematic performances.

“It really felt like the right time to pay tribute and celebrate and celebrate where we are inspired and hopefully inspire a new generation to dance in a new way,” she said.

Reinterpreted through a modern lens, performances are inspired by cult films such as Singin’ in the Rain, Moulin Rouge, Beauty and the Beast, Chicago, Dirty Dancing and Saturday Night Fever. and “La La Land”.

The special will feature a star-studded cast of singers, dancers, actors and film legends.

You won’t believe they pulled it off with only a 10 day trial!

“Sometimes when you have this kind of timeline and goal of finishing something, you get very creative very quickly,” Hough said.
