Josh Brolin reveals why he wasn’t Batman but Ben Affleck

He almost threw up a cowl and joined the Justice League.
Dune actor Josh Brolin opens up about almost being cast as Batman – director Zack Snyder’s ultimate choice now newly engaged Ben Affleck – in his versions of the superhero franchise.
“It would have been the older, the scratchier, for want of a better word,” Brolin said on MTV’s “Happy sad confusedpodcast recently, detailing how his take on Affleck’s portrayal in Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” from 2016 and “Justice League” from 2017.
He also said the idea was “interesting” to him, claiming that the election to cast Affleck instead49, wasn’t his decision, it was Snyder’s.
“Honestly, that would have been a fun deal,” added Brolin, 54. “And maybe I’ll do that when I’m 80.”
Affleck will reprise his role as Batman in the upcoming production of The Flash. with besieged Actor Ezra Miller.
Brolin also incriminated the filmmaker Joel Schumacher’s Batman & Robin, an oddly sexual one – and particularly derided – 1997 version of The Caped Crusader, played by George Clooney, 60, opposite Chris O’Donnell, 51, as Robin/Dick Grayson.


“By the way, who I didn’t think was bad — I spoke to Clooney, who still jokes about it, and it wasn’t his fault,” Brolin said. “He loves a good nipple joke and that’s about it [director] joel [Schumacher]. He didn’t do anything wrong.”
