Jor’Dan Armstrong takes #1 on first gospel stage with ‘My God’ – Billboard

Jor’Dan Armstrong achieved his first 1st place on Billboards‘S Airplay Gospel Charts like “My Lord” topped the survey on December 18.
During the tracking week that ended December 12, the single saw an 11% increase in plays, according to MRC Data.
Armstrong co-wrote “My God” with Antareo Johnson and Thomas “Tillie” Man.
“It’s fashionable in popular music these days to brag about material things, so it’s refreshing to see a song hit number one praising God,” Armstrong said. Billboards. “’My God’ is a celebratory song and I hope it will serve as a soundtrack to celebrate life’s achievements.”
Armstrong, from Baton Rouge, La., and now based in Atlanta, brought his first lead to broadcaster Gospel Airplay during his third visit to the chart. The follow-up song “So much Love”, which peaked at number 19 in October 2017, and his standout take on Uncle Reece’s song “I Can’t Help Myself”, peaked at number 21 on June 2014.
