Joe Rogan wants Elon Musk to buy TikTok in $44 billion Twitter deal

Joe Rogan wants Elon Musk to buy ByteDance’s TikTok after criticizing the platform for being “rough” on account and video bans.

While Elon Musk is also the richest man alive, he has amassed a pretty impressive following on social media. The South African billionaire has become known on Twitter for his willingness to engage in memes and online jokes.

He has even attempted to buy the social media platform for an alleged $44 billion, although there have been reports he may simply walk out of the deal before it can be finalized.

Musk’s attempt to buy Twitter has divided many opinions, but Joe Rogan supports him. The UFC commentator even celebrated during his podcast when he reported that a deal has been agreed but he wants the 50-year-old to buy TikTok too.

Elon Musk first truly became a meme after an appearance on the Joe Rogan Podcast.

The jubilant celebrations took place during episode 1809 of The Joe Rogan Experience, when the podcasting giant spoke to fellow actress Jessica Kirson.

While Rogan touched on Twitter “shadowbanning” accounts, Kirson noted that she had received similar penalties from TikTok, with her posts being regularly removed.

“That’s what TikTok is tough for,” Rogan called about deleted videos and banned profiles. “I think they don’t want anything to disrupt ad revenue and stuff like that. Maybe Elon will buy TikTok next!”

The former Fear Factor host noted that it might be difficult to strike a deal with ByteDance, the owners of TikTok, but he’d love to see Musk buy it.

Though he admitted he doesn’t use the platform, maybe Rogan would jump on board if it went into new ownership — specifically someone he’s previously had on his podcast.
