J&J vaccine does its job

blank

New and growing data suggests that Johnson & Johnson’s vaccine is at least as good at preventing COVID infections, hospitalizations and deaths as, if not better than, Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna. Too bad the Biden Food and Drug Administration undermined confidence in the sting.

From January 22nd The New York Times reports the unvaccinated were 3.2 times more likely to be infected than those who received the J&J vaccine; The number fell to just 2.8 times that of those who received both doses of Moderna and 2.4 times that of those who received two Pfizer shots.

Unfortunately, with their April 2021 vaccine “pause,” the FDA undermined confidence in the J&J vaccine (and in all vaccines).

The fear was from reports of blood clotting among those who got the bite, but they were only numbered six Cases of (then) 7 million doses administered. The bureaucrats didn’t panic about a health threat, but at the thought of it she could be slammed for a mistake in OK’ing the vaccine.

In reality, the one-shot vaccination is crucial for vaccinating those who find vaccinations of any kind scary or uncomfortable. Also, it can be stored (refrigerated) for months, much longer than the other two shots. It will probably be crucial to sting the people of Africa; only about 13% are fully vaccinated.

America really, really needs something like the 9/11 Commission to investigate the pandemic failures of the FDA, the CDC and the rest of the nation’s public health system.
