Jake Paul pitted ‘top’ and light-heavy cruisers for a fight with Tommy Fury and could ‘really punch’

His trainer says that JAKE PAUL will join the heavy and light cruiser contenders for a bout with Tommy Fury and can ‘really take the punch’.
Paul faced Fury over eight rounds in a 192lb . bout on December 18 in Florida.
This will be his fifth bout but his first against an opponent with prior professional boxing experience.
Since Paul’s debut in January 2020, he insisted on working hard, using her celebrity profile to attract big names in the gym.
And that’s no different for this camp, his second in Puerto Rico, with 10-0 Nikita Ababiy, 23, the latest name to train with the YouTube star.
Paul’s coach BJ Flores told BoxingScene: “We’re less than five weeks away now and the closer this comes, the happier Jake will be.
“Look, Jake has some big advantages in this matchup.
“Jake fought hundreds of rounds with many of the top boxers in the country, quietly roaming the United States, competing, achieving the hundreds of rounds needed to prepare for a fight like this.
“One thing that’s been consistent among all the fighting partners is this – Jake can really punch.”
In Paul’s first three fights, he beat YouTuber ‘AnEsonGib’, former NBA star Nate Robinson, 37, and retired UFC heavyweight Ben Askren, also 37.
But in August, Americans improve to 4-0 with an eight-round win over UFC champion Tyron Woodley, 39.
On the bottom card, Fury, 22, beat his pairing partner Paul Anthony Taylor, 32, to move to 7-0 and set up great war.
The 2019 Love Island star is the more experienced boxer, but Paul, 24, is entering his third pay-per-view main event.
And he has a natural height and weight advantage over Fury, who has been active in the light-heavyweight division for most of his career.
“We really hope Tommy does what he says he’s going to do and he comes in the middle of the ring and tries to hit Jake,” Flores said.
“Size, strength and power – Jake has a big advantage. Tommy will find it very difficult when he gets the first clean blow,” Flores said.
“Jake has joined the leading cruisers and light ships in the US for the past eight weeks and 24 months.
“He’s ready to leave now. It’s important to keep him sharp and make sure he peaks on December 18.”
