YouTube boxer Jake Paul is set to return to the ring this August to touch gloves with a yet-unnamed opponent – but he says undefeated champ Floyd Mayweather is in the running.
Jake Paul’s 5-0 record looks to take on another challenger as he prepares for a summer boxing match next August.
“In The Problem Child’s most recent win, he defeated former UFC champion Tyron Woodley in their much-anticipated rematch after British boxer Tommy Fury retired through a last minute injury.
So far, Paul has kept his lips locked on who his next rival might be… but it looks like he has some pretty big names on his list in the meantime.
Jake Paul names Floyd Mayweather, Anderson Silva, more as possible opponents
During an April 14 interview with boxing commentator Ted Atlas and co-host Ken Rideout, Paul mentioned a major boxing champ who could grace the main event of his fight card this summer.
“Yes, we still ban opponents,” Paul admitted. “There are many names. Floyd Mayweather, Oscar de la Hoya, Anderson Silva, Tommy Fury, Sonny William from Australia. There are a lot of people on the hit list.”
“Some other names we speak to unofficially, but we just want to see what makes the most sense.”

If it comes to that, this would be the second time Mayweather has faced Jake Paul as the two particularly tussled ahead of his exhibition match against older brother Logan in 2021.
Anderson Silva has also been linked to the Paul brothers, with the Brazilian MMA star claiming he was open to a possible fight with both influencers late last year.
For now, Paul says he wants someone who “can match my star power” when it comes to promoting events.
With names like Mike Tyson also being thrown around, there’s no telling who lined up Jake for this fight – but fans can bet it will be massive.
