EDDIE HEARN has offered Olympian Cheavon Clarke after Jake Paul said he could beat ANY of his prospects in under 10 fights.
Hearn brokered the women’s superfight between Katie Taylor, 35, and Amanda Serrano, 33, in New York this weekend.
It means the couple spent the week promoting the fight and even did one $1 million bet on the outcome of the blockbuster.
And Hearn later questioned Paul’s hopes for a world title.
The boxer-turned-YouTube star hit back, challenging every one of Hearn’s prospects with fewer than ten fights.
Hearn said: “By the way, I said I think Jake Paul is better than some fighters.
“But I don’t think you’ll ever be anywhere near a world-class fighter.”
Paul, 25, replied: “I think I’ll beat anyone on your list who has less than ten fights. Everyone.
“Any of your fighters who had less than ten fights, easy. Any weight… no, any weight. Literally any weight.”
He continued: “I will beat everyone on your list. Let’s boot it up, no problem. Give me your best real boxer.”
Hearn then named 1–0 cruiserweight, knocked out in the round of 16 at the Olympics, Clarke as a potential opponent.
He said: “Chev Clarke, 1-0 right, boxed at the Olympics, didn’t win a medal, 1-0 only had one professional fight.
“He’s a cruiserweight, you can have him.”
Paul accepted and then doubled down on the claims he wanted Fight boxing pound for pound best Canelo Alvarez31, in the future.
He said, “Just give me a few years brother, then I’ll come for your boy Canelo.”
I think I’ll beat anyone on your list who has less than ten fights.
Jake Paul to Eddie Hearn
Paul is 5-0 as a pro and recently knocked out Tyron Woodley, 40, in December after previously beating the ex-UFC champion on points.
It added KOs over online player “AnEsonGib”, ex-NBA player Nate Robinson and retired UFC welterweight Ben Askren.
He is yet to face a recognized boxer after Tommy Fury, 22, retired from theirs Celebrity Grudge Match in December.
but Paul has big ambitions to end his boxing career with a world championship belt.
He said, “I’m going to be world champion. Pairs fights, seven, eight fights left.”
Hearn replied, “Everyone has the right to have a dream. No seriously, I’m serious.
“I think there is absolutely no way he could beat a world champion and become world champion.
“But I will say that he is improving a lot, he is dedicated to the sport.”
