Jaden Smith responds after Will Smith met Chris Rock at the Oscars


Jaden Smith has responded on Twitter after his father Will Smith punched Chris Rock on stage during the Oscars.

Rock presented the award for best documentary when he made a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith’s performance.

While many celebrities condemned Will’s actions, his 23-year-old son Jaden wrote, “And this is how we do it.”

He also posted a selfie and wrote, “My dad’s speech made me cry.”

Jaden’s sister Willow, 21, has not posted anything about the incident on social media.

Will cried and apologized during his Best Actor winner’s speech King Richard later that night and shared what Denzel Washington had told him after the incident.

In a statement, the Los Angeles Police Department has confirmed that it is aware of an incident that occurred at the Academy Awards, but that no one involved has filed a complaint.

“LAPD investigative authorities are aware of an incident between two individuals during the Academy Awards program,” the LAPD said in a statement.
