Jada Pinkett Smith calls for ‘healing’ after Will’s slap in the face

Jada Pinkett Smith called for a “season of healing” Tuesday amid the firestorm surrounding her husband’s viral slap by comedian Chris Rock at the Oscars.
“This is a time of healing and that’s what I’m here for.” Pinkett Smith posted on Tuesdaytwo days after husband Will Smith stunned Rock – and millions of viewers – by slamming the comedian for making a joke about his wife’s baldness.
Pinkett Smith, 50, has been a relative mother since the incident, apart from a photo and a video to the music of Chopin on Instagram on Monday she shows in an emerald green dress by Jean Paul Gaultier.
Rock joked that the shaved-head Red Table Talk host could star in a sequel to GI Jane, the hit 1997 film starring a bald Demi Moore.

The comments angered Smith, his wife suffers from alopeciaa condition that causes sporadic hair loss and prompted her to shave her head last summer.
Smith initially appeared to laugh at the joke, but then he walked over to Rock and unleashed the now-famous slap.
“Will Smith just blew my mind,” Rock said, stunned.

Back in his seat, Smith then began yelling at Rock.
“Keep my wife’s name out of your frigging mouth,” yelled the Men in Black star.
blacksmith issued a public apology to Rock on Monday, saying “I was out of line and I was wrong” – also as the awards organizers announce “a formal review.”
