On the April 1 episode, fans watched in horror as Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) accidentally shot and killed her son Finn during a confrontation with Steffy. In the days that followed, viewers saw the aftermath of the shooting. Finn was pronounced dead, Steffy was taken to the hospital, and Sheila was living with the consequences of her actions.

The storyline has been tantalizing for fans, who will be in for more surprises in the coming weeks. In conversation with ET CanadaIn doing so, Wood talked about her current storyline and teased more shockers. “Gosh. For viewers… just buckle up because there’s going to be a lot of twists and turns now.”
The twist is being kept under wraps, and even Wood doesn’t know how the plot will unfold. “Things are moving very, very quickly, so I really have no idea … but right now we’re in the thick of it.”

One theory fans are hoping is true is that Finn is alive. Even though he was pronounced dead, many viewers don’t believe it. It’s possible Finn survived the shooting but remains hidden to get Sheila to confess to her crime.
Another theory that fans are clinging to is that of the past few days was a dream. Before filming, the show dropped numerous dream and nightmare comments. Although the scenario seems unlikely, it’s possible that the shooting is someone’s dream, and Finn and Steffy will be fine when they wake up.

The writers seem poised to rekindle the love triangle with Steffy, Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) and Hope Logan (Annika Noelle). Liam rushed straight to the hospital upon learning that Steffy had been shot.
Steffy is currently in a coma and it is speculated that when she wakes up she will have no memory of the shooting or her life with Finn. While Steffy’s amnesia is good for Sheila, it’s terrible news for Liam and Hope. Liam was the love of Steffy’s life and she will be think they are still a couple.
Steffy’s condition will present Liam with a difficult dilemma. He is married to Hope and doesn’t want to leave her. Nevertheless, he cannot abandon Steffy in her distress. When he tries to help Steffy refresh her memory, his marriage to Hope falls apart.
