Jackson Mahomes wants to work with the Chiefs’ Juju Smith-Schuster

Jackson Mahomes could have a new TikTok co-star in the upcoming NFL season.

On Friday, the Chiefs agreed to a one-year, $10.75 million contract with former Steelers wide receiver Juju Smith-Schuster. Although some in the NFL community congratulated the 25-year-old on the deal – including Patrick Mahomes of Kansas City — others joked about what fans might be seeing at Arrowhead Stadium this fall, as Smith-Schuster also has a TikTok following, much like a certain quarterback’s younger brother.

“In other news, the TikTok drama between Jackson Mahomes and Juju Smith-Schuster will be unreal.” wrote one Twitter userwhile another tweeted“Juju on his way to KC to work with Jackson Mahomes on TikTok.”

Jackson, who frequently posts TikTok videos on game days, appears to be on board with a future pairing, he said in an Instagram Story on Friday.

“Now we have to work together…” Jackson wrote in response to Smith and Schuster’s signing.

Last season, Smith-Schuster shared TikTok videos from the Steelers locker room as well as clips from the field showing off his moves.

Before joining the Chiefs, Smith-Schuster spent the first five years of his NFL career with the Steelers, who picked him 62nd overall in 2017.

“It was an honor to wear black and gold for you all! I love you!” he wrote in a farewell message to Pittsburgh on Friday.

Jackson was a fixture at Chiefs games, where he regularly sits with Brittany Matthews, his brother’s now-wife. He was the focus of some controversy last season and was also called out by a Kansas City facility for his allegedly justifiable conduct.

He recently flew to Hawaii for his brother’s extravagant wedding to Matthews and even gave his TikTok followers a glimpse of the couple’s big day.
