Internal ordeal of Orsolya Gaal’s son, 13, who was “dragged through the police station” after his mother was killed while he was at home

ORSOLYA Gaal’s teenage son was dragged through a police station in handcuffs without shoes after she was murdered in the basement of her home while he slept upstairs, a witness claims.

Gaal, 51, was found butchered to death in a blood-soaked hockey bag in Queens, New York, on Saturday morning after allegedly being stabbed by her artisan lover in jealous rage.

The grisly discovery was made by Glenn Van Nostrand, who happened over the bag while walking his dogs near Forest Park at 8am.

Nostrand told The US Sun how he nudged the bag with his foot before looking inside to find the body of a lifeless woman in the fetal position.

He immediately called 911 and police rushed to the scene and soon discovered a trail of blood that led them all back to a $2 million Tudor-style home on Juno Street, where Gaal was staying with her husband and two teenage sons lived.

A knock on the door would leave no trace of Gaal. Her confused 13-year-old son responded, telling investigators his father and older brother were out of town and that he “didn’t know” where his mother was.

The young teenager was handcuffed and taken to the NYPD’s 110th Precinct for questioning.

Nostrand had been waiting at the station to make a statement when the boy was brought in.

He told The US Sun how the teenager was “dragged” around the station with no shoes and what appeared to be pajamas.

Nostrand would only realize who the boy was hours later, when Gaal’s body was formally identified by police.

“His head was kind of down, like tilted forward a little, and I mean he was brought right past me,” he said. “It was about 1-2-3 and he was gone, wheeled around the corner of the train station and put in a room I couldn’t see.”

The 13-year-old, whose name The Sun does not give, was briefly questioned before being ruled out as a potential suspect.

He was released into the care of a relative while his father, Howard Klein, traveled from Ann Harbor, Michigan, back to New York, where he had toured potential colleges with the boy’s older sibling.

‘ONLY ONE CHILD’

Nostrand said his thoughts immediately went to the young teenager and the rest of Gaal’s family when she was named as the woman he found dead.

“I mean, it’s such a sad story because I think from the child’s point of view and how awful it is that this woman had to endure that,” Nostrand said.

“I don’t care if they’re 17 and 13, they’re kids. I can’t imagine how this will affect the rest of her life.”

He added: “I feel really, really, really, really spoken out for these kids because they’re going to need some help.

“Especially the one I saw who was home when it happened, I can’t imagine what he’s going through.”

Nostrand said he’s still coming to terms with what he saw when he came across the bag containing Gaal’s body on Saturday morning, and described the experience as surreal.

He said he found the bag from more than 100 meters away, but it was only when he stood over it that he noticed a pool of blood oozing from the ground.

He decided to nudge the bag with the side of his leg and he felt something heavy.

“And I mean really hard,” he said. “It was really heavy from all the blood. I was like, ‘Oh boy.’”

At first, Nostrand thought a large dog or other large animal might be inside. He said he had previously seen all sorts of “crazy shit” in and around Forest Park, including a severed pig’s head he had come across weeks earlier.

“I decided to open the bag,” Nostrand said. “I’m right-handed, so I used my right hand to pull the zipper down and I just saw this pair of bare feet, pale bare feet, and I was like, ‘Oh my god.'”

Nostrand opened the bag a little wider. He saw black ankle-length skinny jeans, a belt, and the upper part of a woman’s waist.

The body, he said, is in a fetal position and was placed head first in the pouch.

He jabbed two fingers into the body and immediately stepped back after realizing it felt cold to the touch and dialed 911. Dispatchers got the call at 8:02 am.

“It all hit me really emotionally,” he said. “I could feel this unsettling feeling rising in my throat and I felt quite choked.

“By this point, my dogs were going crazy,” he added. “I honestly thought the body was a teenager’s because it seemed so small.

“But I got on the phone with the operator who asked me in various ways if the person was still alive. I kept telling her, no, you can just bring someone over here.”

THE CRAFTSMAN’S COMMITMENT

The apparent truth of what happened to Gaal would not be known for nearly five days until David Bonola, the married mother, arrived secret friend of two years, was taken into custody at the NYPD’s 112th Precinct Wednesday night.

During interrogation, police said Bonola made several “incriminating statements” before allegedly confessing to the crime.

According to police, Bonola admitted he had been in an “off again, on again” relationship with Gaal for the past two years, but the extramarital tryst recently ended.

He told them he saw texts Gaal exchanged with another man and went to her home just after midnight on Saturday to discuss their relationship.

The pair quickly began arguing, and Gaal took the conversation down to the basement for fear of waking her son, who was sleeping upstairs.

Their argument continued to escalate, and Bonola allegedly casually described the officer how, in a fit of rage, he grabbed a knife, cut Gaal’s throat and stabbed her repeatedly, across the left side of her body.

The handyman, who worked as a heating and air conditioning repairman for Gaal’s family, then got her son’s hockey bag and stuffed her body inside.

He waited until 4:30, and then rolled the bag towards Forest Park and reportedly didn’t want to leave her body in the basement for her son to find.

He then sought treatment for wounds on his hands at a local CityMD sometime after 6 a.m., police say.

A later search of Gaal’s house would uncover blood on the first floor and even more in the basement.

A bloody knife was also recovered, believed to be from the family’s kitchen, and investigators found one on the refrigerator strange note with the words “GET A NEW HANDYMAN”.

This notice acc The daily beast, led investigators to Bonola. Police monitored his home and seized blood-stained bandages and other items from his trash can.

LAST MOMENTS

The night before her murder, Gaal had seen a show at Lincoln Center in Manhattan with friends before getting drunk alone at a bar in Queens from 11:30 p.m. to about 12:40 a.m.

Witnesses told police they appeared to be waiting for someone, but no one showed up.

That was the last time she was seen alive.

Bonolameanwhile, appeared in court Thursday night to face charges of second-degree murder, criminal manipulation and criminal firearms possession.

The 44-year-old was completely silent throughout the hearing. Hours earlier, he had been far less reticent after he was recorded telling a journalist to “fuck” himself as he was led out of the 112th Precinct in handcuffs.

Prosecutors told the judge that Gaal let Bonola into the home because she knew him.

“He then engaged her in a verbal argument and unfortunately she had to ask him to leave multiple times,” they claimed.

“[But Bonola] refused to go and the incident [escalated] with the unfortunate stabbing of the victim more than 50 times.”

Judge Anthony Battisti ordered Bonola held without bond, citing his apparent confession to the murder.

“The defendant provides a detailed account of what happened, how it happened and what he did after the events leading up to this case,” Battisti said.

It is currently unclear when Bonola will appear in court again.

The Mexican immigrated to the United States 21 years ago. It is said that he was in the country illegally at the time of his arrest New York Post.

Gaal’s family have not spoken publicly since his arrest. Several attempts by The US Sun to reach her have been unsuccessful.
