Jackman is a person of interest in last night’s shooting of a soldier south of Springfield. If you have any information, please contact Troop D 417-895-6868.

Original story:

The Missouri State Highway Patrol soldier was shot just after 11 p.m. Friday. The soldier is in stable condition and has a wound in his right eye.

MSHP Sergeant Mike McClure said that Trooper began a brief pursuit with the suspect. The chase ended at the end of Armory Court in Springfield, just north of Springfield Lake, near the Springfield Nature Center.

McClure said the suspect drove down the embankment, got out of the vehicle, and manufactured a weapon. There was an exchange of gunfire, and the Missouri State Highway Patrol soldier was shot. The suspect is still big. The Greene County Sheriff’s Office and Springfield Police are assisting with the search.

Mr. Quan was taken to the emergency room by another officer. We are working to learn about their condition.

This is an evolving story. We will update when we have more information.
