Inside the LA house where Britney Spears married Kevin Federline

Buying this home in Los Angeles is much more than just a curb on desirability.

This five bedroom estate recently listed for $3.19 million is located on Farmdale Ave. Swiss Post has learned.

Spears and Federline didn’t live there. Instead, her wedding planner, Alyson Fox, called it her home.

Spears and Federline had planned a lavish October affair at Santa Barbara’s Bacara Resort, but quickly changed their plans when the date and location were leaked to the press. In an effort to avoid paparazzi attention, Fox helped the now-former couple organize surprise “I dos,” which took place in front of their living room bay window.

“The vendors made the house look stunning,” Fox told Time in 2014 while reflecting on the event’s 10th anniversary. “It was so nice.”

To this day, the house is an eye-catcher. At 3,898 square feet, features include oak floors, formal living and dining rooms — plus a newly renovated kitchen with walk-in pantry and breakfast area. The listing images show a wide entryway, an office with a coffered ceiling, and fireplaces elsewhere. It’s also described in its listing as “an entertainer’s delight,” which is true considering its past.

The guests at the wedding that day — including Spears’ now estranged immediate family members: father Jamie, mother Lynne, brother Bryan and sister Jamie Lynn Spears — had no idea they were going to witness the nuptials.

The couple – whose divorce was finalized in 2007 – told guests they were simply celebrating their summer engagement; Spears proposed to Federline during a June 2004 plane trip amid her Onyx Hotel Tour.

“I just wish they could have had more people … Every person that came in that night, we gave them an invitation, they opened it up and it was, ‘Surprise! They’re here for the wedding, not the engagement party,” Fox added. “And we led them into the room where they would change into their robes and tuxedos…”

Fox did not respond to the Post’s request for comment as of press time. Property records show that Jeff Fox, who appears to be her husband, purchased the home in 1993 for $335,000 — or about $696,000 in today’s dollars. Both Jeff’s and Alyson’s names appear in a 2006 deed when they sold the Spread for $2.08 million, or $3.11 million today. Redfin reveals that the residence has changed hands three times since 2006, most recently in May 2017 for $2.2 million, or $2.66 million as of today.

The agency representing the listing declined to comment on the wedding. Listing agent Ingrid Sacerio, via a broker spokesperson, highlighted the features mentioned in the marketing materials. “4053 Farmdale…is a timeless, traditional style and sophistication, thanks in large part to esteemed architect Richard Olander. The home features…inviting interiors with the finest finishes and an enchanting garden perfect for entertaining,” she said.

In the finale of Spears and Federline’s UPN reality series Chaotic, they explained why they finally tied the knot at home.

“She wanted it to be more for me and her than for the whole world… we toned it down within about two weeks. We’ve narrowed it down to about 30 guests,” Federline said.

Spears added, “I was like, ‘Let’s just do something really small and fast and fun.’ ”

To keep their upcoming wedding top secret, Monique Lhullier’s staff thought they were coming home to Fox for one last wedding dress fitting, florists were told they were arriving for a photo shoot – and the cake seller was under the impression Spears and Federline were there with a tasting at home.

“It was cool,” Spears said. “I didn’t even know what her house looked like. I just trusted everything and then I walked in and I was like, ‘Oh my god, it’s perfect.'”

The house was covered with white curtains, thousands of roses and countless candles. The back yard was covered with a tent lit by trees full of twinkling lights.

“It was really cool because in such a small space you wouldn’t believe anyone could do something that beautiful,” Spears said. “It was really, really cute and very nice.”
