Prince William may be part of the British Royal family, but he is also a loving father and husband. The Duke of Cambridge recently sat down for an interview with BBC that not only gave viewers a glimpse into his office, but revealed it adorable family photos he stays on his desk.
Prince William’s royal office looks like a cozy space
Knowing how opulent royal palaces and homes can be, it’s easy to imagine William’s office adorned with ornate moldings and luxurious furnishings. But as revealed in his interview with BBC’s Adam Fleming, Prince William’s office at Buckingham Palace is an intimate and cozy space that looks like it’s been decorated with a personal touch.
In the interview, William and Fleming sit on simple, mint green upholstered chairs. There are plants on both sides. And in front of it is a simple wooden coffee table with two coffee cups.
Several items in William’s office look like they could have been taken on his world travels. Directly behind his chair is a large wooden plaque decorated with an Asian script. And the room is littered with beautifully painted vases and plates.
Prince William keeps cute photos of his family in his office
As he watched the interview with Prince William, it was hard not to notice the sweet family photos he keeps in his office. There is a framed photo of Prince William on the mantle and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge Shooting for the 10th anniversary.
On the table just behind him is an adorable photo of William’s son Prince George with his late grandfather. Prince Philip. And on a side table are a few barely visible photos, one of which is a family photo of William, Kate, and their children.
In his office interview, Prince William spoke passionately about protecting the environment
It’s likely William keeps his office space cozy so he can comfortably work on one of his biggest passion projects – the Earthshot Prize. He developed the award through the Royal Foundation in collaboration with David Attenborough to encourage and fund groups working to improve the environment.
During his interview with Fleming, the Duke of Cambridge spoke about the Earthshot Prize. And he suggested that the world should focus on saving Earth before looking into space.
“We need some of the greatest minds in the world who are fixated on fixing this planet and not trying to find the next place to go and live,” he said.

While speaking about climate change, William spoke about the challenges and emotional impacts facing younger generations. “We’re seeing an increase in climate anxiety,” he said. “You know, guys, young people are growing up now where their future is basically threatened all the time. It’s very annoying and it’s very, you know, scary.”
William also shared his hope for the Earthshot Prize initiative. And he talked about the positive impact he wants to have.
“The award itself will inspire solutions and action that many people have not necessarily come up with,” suggested the Duke of Cambridge. “And so I hope, you know, that the award will inspire a lot of people in positions of responsibility to go further, to get bigger, and to actually start making things happen.”
