REVELATIONS about the state of Sherri Papini’s marriage come to light after the mother of two pleaded guilty to a fake kidnapping and went into hiding with her ex-boyfriend.

The California woman was arrested last month, nearly six years after she was reported missing. She was found on November 24, 2016, three weeks after she went missing with a chain around her waist.

A clump of Papini’s hair was found with her phone near where she was allegedly kidnapped. She told detectives that she was pulling out her hair when she was arrested at gunpoint by her captors so her husband would know where she was kidnapped.
In hindsight, Wallace says, “I think I’m finally able to look at each piece of evidence with the clarity of what was going on, not just the moments, but the drama or theatrics that Sherri implied with every step.” this investigation really was part of the sinking.”
Papini had claimed two Hispanic women took her. However, DNA on her clothing led police to her ex-boyfriend, with whom she was in hiding the entire time.
When questioned, the former lover told detectives Papini he asked him to hit her. He says he refused but agreed to hold up a hockey stick so she could face her. He also branded her when she asked him to.
