‘I’m Hurt, I’m Numb’ – CBS Boston

LOWELL (CBS) – The mother of a Boston woman killed in Lowell is begging the person responsible to come back. “Just go ahead. I am not angry. I get angrier when they won’t come forward,” LaToya Minus told WBZ-TV with tears in her eyes.
Her daughter, Dejah Jenkins-Minus, 22, was brutally found killed at Lowell Friday morning.

Minus said: “I knew something was wrong. “I don’t know what, but I know something is wrong.”
Minus called for a medical check-up that led police to a home where Jenkins-Minus’ body was found with multiple sharp-pointed injuries, according to the Middlesex County District Attorney’s office.
Minus said: “They told me my daughter – that she had been stabbed.
Investigators said the killing did not appear to be random.

While Minus had an idea of who might be responsible, she couldn’t understand why anyone would want to kill the young mother.
Dozens of her loved ones attended a candlelight vigil Saturday night at Jenkins-Minus’ childhood home – showing how deeply she is loved.
“She is very outgoing, she loves life. She is a very uplifting young woman,” Minus said.
Her mother is desperate for answers, sharing this message for those responsible for the 22 year old girl’s death.
Minus said: “They just turned themselves in. “I am lost, I am in pain, I am numb. I am angry and I want justice for my children and grandchildren.”
