BUY MULTIPURPOSE FURNITURE

When purchasing furniture for your home, Fuller advised buying multifunctional pieces.

For example, instead of buying a cooking table for your kitchen, invest in a floating kitchen island that also offers additional storage space.

Now you have space to store more groceries!

That’s why the social media star, who has over 13.6k followers, is said to be always on the lookout for pieces that offer more storage space.

This could look like a bed frame with drawers, an ottoman that doubles as a storage container, and even an entryway table with shelves.

GO BIG WITH YOUR DECOR

A small home should not be equated with small decorations.

In fact, Fuller advised doing just the opposite: the bigger, the better.

She explained, “There’s something about oversized gigantic artworks that take up almost the entire wall that looks very professional and mature.”

Some pieces the home expert suggested were oversized mirrors and tall artificial plants.

Incorporating a huge decor will help give the impression that the house is big too.

WORK WITH WHAT YOU HAVE

Fuller has lived in her 5,000-square-foot rental for the past 10 years, making her a master at working with what she has.

Apart from not having much space, tenants have to accept the decoration that is already present in the house.

Whether it’s the color of the tiles or the type of flooring, Fuller advised matching the color of the floor to specific pieces of furniture could help.

She remarked, “I didn’t like my black tiled kitchen floor at all, so I decided to incorporate it with black furniture accents like the shoe cabinet and end table.”

In addition, the home expert suggested buying large neutral rugs to cover a large portion of the floor without taking up more space.

If you’re able to spend the extra money to beautify your home, Fuller strongly recommends investing in removable, peel-and-stick products like wallpaper and counter contact paper.

Whether you live in a rented space or your own, peel-and-stick products can help make it feel like you.
