PARENTS constantly worry about giving their kids too much screen time.
But one teacher has come up with a brilliant way to make screen time fun and educational for her kids.
“Parenting Hack from a Teacher: Make all your kids’ screen time be in a different language,” she captioned a TikTok video of her kids engrossed in their devices.
“My kids only watch TV/tablets in Spanish.
“Now they both speak Spanish and my younger daughter almost fluently.”
However, she also emphasized that parents must also learn the language.
“Or your kids tell each other secrets and you don’t understand them,” she added.
She also took to the comments section to “clarify” what she meant, writing: “Let me be clear: my kids have always been introduced to Spanish through music etc.
“They understand what they see and love it!”
She was quick to get praise for the hack in the comments, and other moms made their own suggestions.
“Subtitles help reading too,” one wrote, to which the original poster responded, “Love this!!! Great ideas.”
“Yes! It’s better for kids to learn two languages at the same time when the goal is bilingualism!” someone else added.
“And introduce another language before you are 6 years old!”
In other parenting news, this wife is having a first baby at 50 – trolls say she’s too old, but she doesn’t care.
