I’m a cleaning pro – how I keep my home dust-free and why old pillowcases are essential for one of the trickiest spots

DUST can quickly accumulate in hard-to-reach places.
Luckily, cleaning pro Sophie shared how she manages to keep her home dust-free without fuss and how she manages to reach the trickiest spots.
Sophie shared her clever tricks on Instagram and showed that there’s no excuse for dust accumulation.
Their first trick is to shed dust before it can settle on surfaces. She does this by mixing about 250ml of water and 60ml of vinegar, two teaspoons of olive oil and a few drops of lemon oil.
The cleaning talent then sprays this onto the tops of cabinets and tables and wipes in the mixture to keep them clean.

The olive oil is said to repel dust for longer and leave a nice finish, while the addition of lemon leaves your home smelling fresh.
The next pro-vacuuming tip is to use self-adhesive lint rollers to dust things like lampshades, which can have a stronger hold on unwanted dust particles.
This can also be used on all materials such as tablecloths, fabric sofas and cushion covers.
Sophie’s most ingenious and money-saving trick is to clean ceiling fans with an old pillowcase.
The fans positioned high ensure they collect inch by inch of dust, but dusting them normally can mean the grim debris just falls to your floor.
According to this expert, placing a pillowcase over each blade to wipe off the dust means that any pieces that fall out are caught in the pillowcase.
The viewers of the video were amazed at the simple dust-off tricks: “These are great tips! I have to try the anti-dust agent!”
Another added: “So try the fan trick thanks for sharing!”
And a third quipped: “Never thought I’d use a lint roller on lampshades!”

Another viewer joked, “Thanks for reminding me of Dust!!”
