I worked at the same company for 70 years

DEDICATED Brian Chorley has worked for the same company for almost 70 years and has no plans to retire.

He took a short break when its factory headquarters closed but returned when the Clarks Village shopping center opened on the site.

He spent some time for on leave during the pandemic but can’t wait to come back.
Brian, whose first salary package is £2 and 3 shillings, said: “I’ve always wanted to work.
“When I started, we were pretty poor. Dad lived in Army. Now I still love to work.
“I don’t want to sit in an armchair all day – it’s boring. I want to go out and meet people.”
Brian, whose wife Pauline died in 2014, looks Sir David Attenborough – still working at 95 – is his role model.
He added: “I’ve just passed my medical with a flying shirt and I want to keep going for as long as I can – I want to be like Sir David.”
