I work at Starbucks and here’s the most bizarre order I’ve ever had

in one tick tock He posted how he added all 40 pumps, the cup was about a quarter of the way full with syrup.

Then Self filled the cup to the end with coffee and ice.

To make matters worse, he wrote in the caption that the guest originally ordered an iced tea but then switched to an iced coffee, requiring Self to make the drink twice.

Viewers were convinced that Self must have misheard the order.

Some suggested it must have been an online order meant for four pumps but had an unfortunate typo that made it 40.

Self was quick to reassure everyone in a comment that it was a drive-through order, and the guest said very clearly, “I want forty classic pumps. Not fourteen, four zero.”

Though the 40 pumps only made the drink about 80 cents more expensive, it also added 800 calories to a plain iced coffee.

The customer came back and ordered the same thing another day. Self posted another tick tock of him making the infamous drink.

Commentators on both videos slammed Starbucks’ recent price hikes, but Self said it’s all for good reason.

The increases allow increases for all employees to keep up with inflation.

“Higher prices, more salary, no more paychecks. So please stop yelling at baristas because your drink has been increased by 50 cents,” he replied to commenters.

To counter higher prices, a TikTok finance expert posted a video on how to get free drinks.

As long as the customer gets a refill for the same purchase on the same day, in the same store and during the same visit, it is free.

This is especially helpful for those who sit at Starbucks and spend hours studying or working.
