A boy’s dream of seeing his hero Cristiano Ronaldo play has been thwarted three times – and cost his distraught father £3,250.
The determined pair suffered a heartache hat-trick at his offer.
Every time Chris Broome, 43, squirted for himself and his son Zac, 12, the portuguese star – famous for his goal celebrations “Siu” – was injured or benched.
In 2020 he paid £1,550 to watch Ron juventus but the ace was rested.
In March, Chris spent £1,500 on hospitality and hotels for the Manchester derby which Ronaldo, 37, missed through injury.
And despite free tickets to Man Utd against Leicester on Saturday, Ronaldo was absent again.
Chris, from Yatton, Somerset, said: “It costs an arm and a leg.
“I promised Zac that I would take him to see Ronaldo play so I will make sure that happens no matter what.”
