‘I Need A Life-Changing Victory’: ‘Princess Diaries’ Star Heather Matarazzo Says She’s ‘Damned Lost’ To Career Struggles

That Suddenly Princess Star Heather Matarazzo said she was “desperate” about her next career move.

Matarazzo, 39, is best known for playing Lilly Moscovitz, the sweet, batty best friend of Anne Hathaway’s Mia Thermopolis The Princess Diaries. She has also appeared in The L Word, Grey’s Anatomy and the latest scream movie.

But in a series of tweets she deleted this week, Matarazzo said her career hasn’t gone as she hoped.

“I hit my limit today with Life,” she wrote aloud in one post BuzzFeed.

“I’ve been pushed to the limit with every game the universe plays. I’m done. I am tired. I really feel lost.”

She reportedly added, “I feel at a loss because I feel like I’ve done THE WORK for a long time without complaint.

“I’ve taken the disappointments, the rejections, etc. and asserted that rejection is a diversion. I had constant belief in the universe, but something broke today. I feel occupied.

“I have dedicated my life to acting for over 30 years. And I’m tired of just struggling to survive…

“I just need a win. A life changing victory. Because it isn’t. F***.”

According to IMDb, Matarazzo is next appearing in Zach Braff’s new film The Mattachine family and the movie To paintwritten and directed by her princess diaries 2 co-star Callum Blue.

Since the beginning of her career she has worked consistently, but – apart from the “Princess Diaries” films – mostly played smaller roles.

This isn’t the first time the actress has spoken out about how tough she finds the industry.

“I don’t know if I took a step back from Hollywood or Hollywood took a step back from me,” she said The guard in 2017.

Matarazzo said she once considered suicide after a series of failed auditions.

“I thought, ‘What is this sick and twisted universe?’ The fact that I’m still here is a miracle in itself,” she told the publication.
