The savvy shopper keeps a strict £5 weekly budget and reuses elements of every dish she cooks to make even more money.

Mother-of-two Lynn regularly buys items with yellow stickers in the supermarket and even grows her own vegetables to keep costs down.

And her latest success has seen her produce a range of dishes from just one £1.5 million chicken.

After cooking up a storm on Sunday and preparing a roast dinner, Lynn tells how she got her Her vegetable decorations patch and make stuffing from some stale bread.

Although she admits it’s “not the biggest of the birds but it’s not a sparrow either,” the mother shared a stunning moment of her hearty lunch.

The next day, Lynn cooked some chicken curries for her husband to bring for his lunch – this lasted him for two days.

Her pastries also come in handy, as she prepares a grilled chicken pie for her parents to eat.

Lynn then cooked a simple chicken and vegetable soup with her bargain bird, marking the fourth meal she was able to make with it.

As a special gift for her two daughters aged 8 and 10, she used her leftover pastry to create pudding jam.

She shared some of her secrets with other users, explaining that she buys essentials that can be useful for a variety of dishes.

Lynn wrote: “I was given a £60 voucher through my daughter’s school for Christmas that I used to literally buy pasta, rice and flour for, literally spending. for food my current is £5 a week.

“I really have to emphasize that I live in the countryside and grow a lot of vegetables, which makes a huge difference to budgeting.”
