A HOMEOWNER was left in despair after allegedly discovering neighbors in the cheap apartments next to him were stealing water from their backyard faucet.
The alleged victim, who worked 60 hours a week, searched the internet for ways to ward off neighbors who overdid it while at work.
Reddit user u/AverageHorribleHuman said her neighbors live in a “flophouse” with eight people and most likely don’t have running water.
According to postthe author is a recovering addict who works overtime to pay for expenses, including his wife’s medical bills.
The writer’s roommate has hooked up with the neighbors and “went over there to get high” and has allowed the neighbors to stay at the author’s apartment while they work late.
The roommate is about to be evicted, adding additional pressure to the troubling situation.
The author of the post said “arguing with them is not an option” and asked the online community what to do in this situation.
A user suggested the author get a parental control for Amazon’s outdoor faucet.
The author responded that ordering supplies as a roommate might be a problem steals the author’s mail.
Another user recommended the author to call code enforcement, the fire department, and the police for trespassing.
“The house is not habitable if there is no running water (Code Enforcement),” the user replied.
“And they’re probably exceeding the maximum occupancy (firefighter).”
HorribleHuman then inquired about anonymously contacting those agencies, saying the neighbors were “upset and had guns.”
The author said he spoke to a friend of the sheriff, who told HorribleHuman that a task force is being put together.
However, the author expressed doubts, saying, “I don’t know what all this means.”
This comes as Tiktoker took revenge to a neighbor who complained about the treatment of her horses.
