I let my baby sleep on the floor instead of in a crib. People say I’m “crazy,” but he loves it… it’s totally safe

A WOMAN shared that she lets her baby sleep on the floor and other people call her “crazy” for the choice.

The influencer, who has more than 150,000 followers, posts about her parenting journey with the handle Montessori Maternity.

The mum posted a video on her TikTok about the technique of sleeping on the floor, where she was liked by more than 7,000 people.

She said: “When I told my family that my son would sleep on the floor.”

She then joked that in response to the message, they would say, “She’s crazy.”

The short clip was captioned, “Have you heard of a Montessori floor bed?”

The mother explained that while you can start sleeping on the floor from birth, she does it for her baby from six months and overnight from eight months.

Other parents were quick to say they do the same.

One person said: “We have our toddler bed on the floor too! It tends to roll over so I think it falls less and is a lot safer.”

Another said: “We have one too, our son was trying to get out of his regular bed at 10 months and I was too scared he might fall out one day. The best decision ever.”

A third said: “Yassss our son has one too! Since he was about 18 months old.”
