I created a sprinkler at home using Dollar Tree purchases – it’s so easy to make and the kids love it

IF you have young children at home, you are probably always trying to entertain them.

Many parents want their kids to stay away from screens and play outside, but don’t want to spend money on expensive toys.

A mom and creative lifehacks expert named Kate Bast stopping by @thebastfamily on TikTok shared an easy cheap activity to do for your kids at home.

All you need is a foam pool noodle, which you can purchase at your local Dollar Tree, and a wine cork.

Kate used a sharp implement to poke holes along one side of the noodle and pop the cork into the hole at one end.

Then she took the noodle outside and inserted a tube into the other end of the noodle.

When she turned on the water, it shot out of the small, piercing holes like a sprinkler.

As for other easy kids games to create at home, a mom named Celena Kinsey shared her idea.

“So for my parents who don’t have much time but want to make fun gaming experiences for their kids, this is for you,” she began.

For the activity you will need a pack of craft foam that you will cut into various shapes.

“Give kids a cup of water and some brushes and let them make window mosaics with their foam pieces,” she explained.

After the water has been applied to the back of the foam with a brush, it can be easily glued to the window.

It can also be easily removed – which is just as important!

Celena ended her video with another “mum hack,” as she said, “When they’re done, give them a towel so they can be window cleaners.”

She was quickly hailed as a “genius” by other parents, with one writing: “Love it. Thanks!”

“Okay, that’s awesome!” someone else wrote, to which Celena responded, “My kid either loves to paint one day or loves to clean the other so it doesn’t matter what it is, a win.”
