Hugh Grant tells Nigel Farage to fuck off about the net zero referendum campaign

Hugh Grant has called on Nigel Farage to fool himself in response to his campaign for a net-zero referendum.

The British actor responded to the former Brexit Party leader’s Twitter post on Saturday (5 March), announcing: “I’m launching a new campaign to kill Boris Johnson’s cutthroat green agenda.

“We call for a referendum on Net Zero,” Farage added.

Then he posted a screenshot of an article featured in The Post on Sundayin which he shared details of the campaign called Britain Means Business, which he co-founded with Richard Tice, co-founder of Leave Means Leave.

The campaign calls for a departure from Johnson’s flagship green policy, which Farage describes as “a scandal of epic proportions”.

Grant revealed what he thought of Farage’s campaign, replying: “Russian warship – fuck yourself.”

Johnson’s government announced its net-zero strategy ahead of the October 2021 Cop26 climate talks.

The policy outlined how the UK plans to reach its net-zero emissions target by 2050, although many warned it is not providing enough policy or investment to drive the transformation needed to reach net-zero .
