Mitch Trubisky and Mrs. Hillary certainly a lot to celebrate.
Shortly after the Steelers agreed to a two-year, $14.25 million contract with former Bills quarterback Hillary – who is pregnant with the couple’s first child — took to her Instagram Stories for a new look at Trubisky in black and yellow.
Later on Monday, the parents-to-be ate with their loved ones where they enjoyed steak and sweets.
“There’s a lot to celebrate! So proud of you!” Hillary gushed in a separate Instagram story from Trubisky, March 27.
Trubisky spent last season as Josh Allen’s backup at Buffalo after spending the first four years of his NFL career with the Bears, who picked him second overall in 2017.
With the move to Pittsburgh, Trubisky will join current internal quarterbacks Mason Rudolph and Dwayne Haskins. Former Steelers franchise quarterback Ben Roethlisberger announced his retirement in January after 18 years. Barring the Steelers drafting a quarterback, Trubisky is the suspected favorite to replace Roethlisberger as the team’s starter.
Before joining the Steelers, Trubisky was had been associated with the Giants This is partly due to his relationships with Brian Daboll and Joe Schoen, who previously served as Bills’ offensive coordinator and assistant general manager, respectively. Daboll was named the Giants’ new head coach in January, and Schoen replaced Dave Gettleman as the team’s GM.
The past year was quite a whirlwind for Trubisky, who announced his engagement to Hillary in January 2021. The couple tied the knot in July of this year before revealing in November that they are pregnant.
In December, the couple had a lavish gender reveal party with Trubisky’s now-former Bills teammate and informed that a little boy is on the way.
The Trubiskys are set to welcome their bundle of joy this spring.
