How is Tom Parker?

Wanted star Tom Parker unfortunately had to miss the start of the boy band tour as he was undergoing treatment for his stage 4 cancer.

He shared his disappointment at missing the tour with his bandmates, posting an Instagram story that read, “Love you all, I’m not there.”

It’s the band’s first tour since their Word Of Mouth gigs in 2014, shortly before they decided to split.

However, the singer managed to attend the performance backstage in Manchester on Sunday, March 13.

His bandmate Max George shared a picture of Tom to his Instagram stories throughout the night.

Tom posed in the picture making a peace sign with his hand, which Max captioned with a heart-eye emoji: “I mean…come on.”

The 33-year-old is currently in a wheelchair after treatment for his brain tumor left him too weak to stand.

He has recently returned from Spain, where he spent three weeks undergoing specialist treatment for his brain tumour.

His wife Kelsey accompanied him abroad and on Sunday (March 6) shared a video of the couple’s finally reuniting with their two children, Aurelia and Bodhi.

Sharing the video on social media, Kelsey commented: “The reality of cancer. As you know me and @tomparkerofficial have been to Spain for treatment. That meant the longest time without our babies. You don’t know how someone having cancer really affects the whole family.”

Tom has undergone a series of chemotherapy and radiotherapy sessions since he was diagnosed with an inoperable tumor in 2020.

He previously said he was shocked at the UK’s lack of treatment and funding for cancer patients.

A source told The Sun: “Tom has been vocal in saying he doesn’t think the options available in the UK are perfect so he’s trying elsewhere.”

The NHS standard treatment for glioblastoma patients for the last 20 years has been a drug called temozolomide.

Tom received his treatment at a Costa del Sol facility that charges £8,000 for two weeks or £11,600 for a three week programme.

This includes time in the oxygen machine, massages and a special diet.
